WORKFORCE PROJECTIONS
In 2007 there were 37 nephrologists active in New Zealand in
full or part-time practice. It is anticipated that there will be a
requirement for steadily increasing numbers of nephrologists to cope
with an increasing workload. In addition, it is expected that
between 5 and 10 nephrologists will retire within the next 5-7
years.
