WORKFORCE PROJECTIONS
 | In 2007 there are 35 Surgeons who are members of the NZ
Vascular Society. Many of these perform General and
Vascular Surgery. There were 14 Surgeons who perform
predominantly Vascular Surgery. There is generally
perceived to be a shortage of Vascular Surgeons. |
 | There is no recommended specialist surgeon to population
ratio for vascular surgery but the actual ratio in 2001 was
