ABOUT CLINICAL GENETICS
Clinical genetics involves diagnosis, investigation, management,
counselling and education of people with (or at risk of) genetic or
inherited disorders. The specialty covers a wide range of areas
including cancer genetics, neurogenetics, presymptomatic diagnosis
of adult-onset conditions, clinical cytogenetic problems, prenatal
diagnosis, and diagnosis and management of inborn errors of
metabolism and syndromes.
